Think BlackBerry addicts have a problem surfing the Web? According to an AdMob Mobile Metrics Report released recently, the iPhone is responsible for 49.5 percent of all smart phone traffic in the United States. It’s followed by the BlackBerry 8300 series (Curve), which has just 9.1 percent of the traffic share.
Not surprisingly, the iPhone OS has 50 percent of the US operating system share as well; it’s up 40 percent since August 2008.
The iPhone OS is followed by BlackBerry OS, which follows it with 21 percent of the market, and Windows Mobile (13 percent). Android has gained and currently holds 5 percent of the share.
International
Nokia, not surprisingly, isn’t on the US list due to Symbian’s lack of popularity in the States. Worldwide, however, it holds six out of the top 10Â smart phone spots. But the iPhone still topped the worldwide charts with a 33 percent share of the market. Check out the report yourself over at AdMob.com.
