The Samsung NC10 is a popular netbook with a nice large keyboard, good battery life, and a kind of lousy touchpad. One problem with the touchpad is that it’s pretty much flush with the rest of the computer, making it hard to find the edges and easy to slip your finger off the touchpad altogether. Other users say that the buttons are hard to find without looking for the same reason.
But where there’s a will there’s a way. A member of the SammyNetbook forums grabbed a piece of sticky-back foam and slapped it on his touchpad buttons to improve their feel. And BoloMKXXVII posted a picture in the Liliputing Forums of his solution for the edgeless touchpad: He cut up a vinyl non-skid bathtub strip and placed thin strips around the border of his touchpad to make it easier to locate the edges without looking. The bathtub strip also looks surprisingly classy.
